Day 36- Niagra Falls and yes more Broadway!

The Tour Bus Experience:
I thought a guided tour would be an easy way to visit the falls. The concept seemed simple enough, take a bus with a group of people, see the falls, stay the night and come back to NYC the next day. The problem with this trip was I was not given a detailed itinerary. The extra stops every TWO hours and a detour to a 'Glass Museum' in Corning created for a very long day. It took ten hours, two turkey sandwiches, a bag of sunships, water and some skittles before Max and I finally made it to our destination...NIAGRA FALLS!

After getting out at the Falls we went rogue from our group. We ran over to the 'Maid of the Mist' to hop on the boat while our group was eating dinner at a food court. This boat ride was awesome- they take you right in to the falls, amazing! We hiked around the falls and ate dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe while the group was watching a history documentary on the Falls. Believe me after ten hours on a bus you do not want to go watch a movie. We did reunite with the group for the 10pm fireworks show on Goat Island.

That night at the hotel Max saved the day by booking a 6am flight out of the Buffalo airport. What took ten hours to cover the day before only took us an hour and a half to return to NYC. With our extra day we hung out in Battery Park, took the Staten Island ferry out for a spin, ate sushi and went to our 10th musical together...Mary Poppins!!!!

Another GREAT show!

Tomorrow we are heading over to Montauk beach for a fun day filled with water and sun.
