Day 11->7 Time to catch up

Day 11- Tuesday-
Early morning wake-up call at 6am I headed for the gym for my one free personal training session at my summer gym NYHRC. He kicked my butt and was disappointed I didn't sign up for more sessions but I feel I got some good tips to change up my work outs and look forward to swimming some laps tomorrow.

I cooked myself some chicken (marinated with balsamic salad dressing) in my little frying pan for my dinner salad and am now enjoying some movie and relaxation time with the roomies.

Day 10-Monday-2nd Monday at work included more research and writing of course! I am learning so much and I am grateful everday for this once in a lifetime experience. For dinner my roomies and I found Korean Way and ate some sushi, yummy. Monday night was a big night of skype for me. I got to skype my family before all the boys headed off to Alaska and I got to skype Max and say "hi" to my friends Jessica and Sarah.

Day 9- Sunday- The Day of Rest...sort of.
My roommate Jenna and I went to Redeemer Presbyterian Church recommended by a friend of mine and listened to Tim Keller. I really enjoyed the message and the service I hope I plan on going next sunday if I am not off trying to find a beach ;) After church we walked past Central Park and the Puerto Rican Day Parade. Next, we got on the subway to meet up with our other roomie Madison Park. Madison park was filled with weekenders enjoying BBQ ribs, chicken and other delightful food choices in the park. I couldn't stay long because I had to go meet my girlfriend Katie for an afternoon show. The Broadway show was called Irena's Vow, it was VERY good. A touching story about a woman Irena, a polish catholic, who hid twelve Jews in the cellar of a house of a prominant German major. The rest of my Sunday evening I did some laundry and rested up for my second week in this big town.

Day 8- Saturday
My roomies and I started the rainy day off right by going to the Metropolitan Museum. We saw the "The Model As a Muse" Fashion Exhibit, the European paintings and sculptures (amazing!) and the Egyptian exhibit. I know there was a lot we did not see including the rooftop garden (due to bad weather) but it was a great introduction to the museum. After I got lunch with my roomies I made my way on the subway underwater over to Brooklyn to meet up with my co-worker Nathan and his friends. Nathan made us yummy veggie burgers with vegetables and 'vegenaise' (I thought it tasted just like if not better than real mayonaise).

Day 7 -Friday-Another busy day at the office. Really not much else to say it was a low key Friday which was nice.
