Day 22- Time for some more fun!

What a week!  It is pretty late and it has been a pretty busy weekend so I will just list a few lowlights and highlights.

The lowlights were three celebrity deaths this week including Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and the King of Pop himself, Michael Jackson.

Fortunately, the rest are highlights-->

Tuesday June 16- Movie I saw this week: The Proposal - It was a fun chick flick to watch with my roomies.

If you are curious of what I have been up to during the week here you go.  My weekday routine consists of heading to my office 9-5:30pm followed by the gym!  This week I tried out a kick-boxing
 class, an abs class and a cycling class, all very fun!

Friday June 26- My friend, Katie, invited me to go see the Good Morning America Summer Concert Series with her Dad in Central Park.  The Broadway cast of "Hair" performed 2 numbers from their musical and a special Michael Jackson tribute, "I'll Be There" (This touching number was put together in under 11 hours).  Then I went to the office to
 finish up some projects before the weekend.  For
 dinner my roommate took me to "Soho and "Little Italy" where we ate some yummy Italian food.  I liked this part of NY, classy and fancy, full of fun shops and numerous cafes/bars and restaurants.

Saturday June 27-Concert my roomies and I saw this week : "The Roots Of Creation" (a regae band) they performed to us on a boat cruise
 that toured  the Hudson River from 12am- 3am.  The concert/boat combination is popular in NY during the summer because you can watch and listen to the music and then go out on the bow to check out NYC skyline fro
m the water. The best part was traveling under the bridges and cruising right in front of the Statue of Liberty.

6 hours later...

9:45am I was on the Long Island train to Long Beach where I met my friend Bryan for a day at the beach.  Bryan was nice enough to tour me ar
ound his hometown and show me the beach and the boardwalk.  My beach day was everything I had hoped for - sunshine, swimming, walking 4 miles total, down and back on the boardwalk and in general a day to relax on the beach.

For lunch Bryan and I stopped by a super yummy crepe cafe where we split an "Apple and Brie" crepe and a "Strawberry and Caramel" crepe.  SO GOOD!

The rest of the day was not as exciting.  I cleaned my apartment, did laundry and made myself shrimp stir-fry and coucous for dinner.

Time to catch up on some sleep before a Sunday stop at the gym and Trader Joe's :)
