Under The Sea...

Day 34 (July 8, 2009)

Softball Update:  In yesterday's game my FH Swingers team dominated the Lizards 14-2.  It was a perfect evening in Central Park for a softball game.  Everyone (fans included) contributed to our team's success.  I got a few hits and got to play Left Center Field.  Max and I had a really fun time hanging out with my co-workers and I am looking forward to our next game.

This evening Max and I met my friend, Katie, for a delicious sushi dinner at Kodama.  Max and I split the Broadway Box - the box had everything= chicken terriyaki, veg. and shrimp tempura, lil dumplings, miso soup, salad and california rolls).

For entertainment Max and I got front row seats (Yay for student rush tickets!) to the Little Mermaid. We LOVED this musical- such a fun show!  The costumes, the music, the dancing was all glitter and magic.  Sitting so close to the show I almost felt as if I was in it :)
"Kiss the Girl" and "Under the Sea" were of course the hit songs of the evening.  I especially enjoyed all the extra songs built in to the Broadway version such as Flounder's solo in "She's in Love".  It was awesome!

Max and I have an obsession for live shows and are looking forward to seeing a few more shows while he's here.  If we have the choice between a movie and a live show we tend to go for the stage performance.  To show you how apparent this addiction has become.  Here's a list of the ones we have seen together so far:
  • Young Frankenstein
  • Spamalot
  • Phantom of the Opera
  • Spring Awakening
  • Mamma Mia
  • Jersey Boys
  • The Lion King
  • The Little Mermaid
  • Hello Dolly
  • Romeo & Juliet (Ballet)
  • The Nutcracker (Ballet)
  • A Midsummer Night's Dream (Ballet)
  • Cirque Du Soleil The "O" Show
