What happens when the orange line goes down!

Day 4 - June 9

This was my last day before I start at Fleishman and Hillard. Archita and I spent the day touring around. We went to Georgetown blocks and blocks of beautiful shops and restaurants on a neverending (okay, not really but it seems like it in the heat!) street that leads down to Georgetown University. As the locals would say a "good" part of town. There you can find everything from Barnes and Noble to Lacoste and Juicy Coutoure. During an air-conditioning break we enjoyed an iced white-chocolate mocha at Starbucks. I don't usually like or drink coffee but today a mocha never tasted so GOOD.

At 6:35pm after hanging out and resting at Archita's hotel turned dorm room at George Washington University. We headed off to the metro because Archita had a dinner engagement with some co-workers.

Little did we know that an orange line train slipped off the tracks this afternoon. Postponing any returning trips to our destination. Fortunately, we skipped up to the street and caught a cab. The nice cab driver saved the day and got us to where we needed to go. It did cost us 18 dollars more than we intended to pay to get home but it was a worthwhile expense as opposed to a two hour wait in the subway tunnels.

Now, I will read and then get some rest for tomorrow's orientation.
